Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/3 cup (75g) melted butter
- 3/4 cup (150g) sugar (can reduce to 1/2 cup if preferred)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
Optional Add-ins:
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt; mix well.
- Add the flour and stir just until incorporated. (Donβt overmix.)
- Fold in any optional add-ins if using.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50β60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
